| Area Classes: Be a part of Haystack: Haystack offers a multitude of workshops from June - Sept in a variety of craft media (attendance is by application process and acceptance to program). This award winning campus, overlooking Jericho Bay and the Deer Isle Thoroughfare, is open to the public for tours every Wednesday at 1 p.m. - starting June 4. This year they will also host their second summer conference: "The Language of Craft", July 13 - 17, and will investigate how we talk and write about craft objects and craft making—the language used to describe work and the creative process, critical writing about craft, and the role that language plays in the creation of work—and how this influences our work and our perceptions of the field.
